GCC 16 for Amiga - New m68k-amigaos-gcc and OpenAmigaGCC Releases

New versions of two GCC 16 toolchains for developing software for classic Amiga computers have been released. m68k-amigaos-gcc 16.2-rc20 updates a development environment that includes GCC 16.2.1, binutils, newlib, vbcc, vasm and vlink, while OpenAmigaGCC 16.2.0-open3 focuses on AmigaOS 3.x compatibility and integration with OpenNDK libraries. Both projects enable developers to compile Motorola 68k applications on modern computers.

AmigaE CubicIDE Addon 1.0 is a new collection of Amiga E syntax parsers for GoldED 8 / Cubic IDE, developed by Murdock of Intense. The extension supports five compilers: Amiga E 3.3a, E-VO 3.9.4, CreativE 2.12, Portabl E r6 and ECX 2.3.1. Each compiler has its own parser with matching keywords, types, functions and constants.

png2amiga 1.117.0 has been released (online version), updating the open-source tool for converting PNG, JPEG and WebP images into classic Amiga graphics formats. The converter supports OCS/AGA, HAM6, HAM8, EHB and Copper-controlled palette changes. Output options include IFF ILBM, raw bitplanes, C headers and source code for standalone image viewers.
