Windows and Rust
Microsoft became interested in Rust a few years ago as a way to catch and eliminate memory security bugs before the code hits users.
The Rust language itself was designed by Graydon Hoare in 2006, and in 2009 the project was adopted by the Mozilla Foundation. On February 8, 2021, five companies (Mozilla, AWS, Google, Microsoft and Huawei) announced the creation of the Rust Foundation.
