P96CTS 1.0, a conformance test suite for Picasso96 graphics drivers developed by Bernie Innocenti, is now available on Aminet. The tool validates RTG rendering operations and graphics.library routines by comparing their output pixel by pixel against reference images generated by a software renderer.

P96CTS 1.0 - Automated Picasso96 driver testing
The test suite covers line drawing, bitmap operations, scrolling and layer clipping. When a test fails, it saves images showing the actual rendering result and the detected differences. Tests can run without user interaction, and the program's exit status indicates success or failure, making P96CTS suitable for automated driver validation.
The tool also supports AROS and can test graphics operations on native AGA screens. The project's source code is available on GitHub.
